About stormchecker.org
Storm is a tool for the analysis of systems involving random or probabilistic phenomena [1]. Such models arise, for example, in distributed algorithms (where randomization breaks symmetry between processes), security (randomized key generation), systems biology (species/molecules interact randomly depending on their concentration) or embedded systems (involving hardware failures). To ensure that such systems behave correctly, typically the quantitative aspects of the model have to be considered. For example, it may be inevitable that the system fails due to hardware failures under certain circumstances, but this may be tolerable as long as it only happens rarely, i.e. with a low probability.
