About standrewsartclub.co.uk
St. Andrews Art Club was founded in 1959 by an enthusiastic group of amateur and professional artists. It has flourished ever since and the present membership stands at around 170. Our constitution states that "the object of the club is to advance the education of the public in St Andrews and its environs in the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts and particularly the visual arts" Today we continue our founders' traditions with a wide range of activities for members throughout the year, with lectures, demonstrations, competitions, and criticisms of members work, and talks held monthly on Thursday evenings between September and March.
