About sifa.sg
Singaporean playwright, director and educator Chong Tze Chien is the Festival Director of SIFA for 2026-2028. Having been involved as an audience member, collaborator, and artist, to now helming it as Festival Director, Chong's career has progressed in parallel with the roles he has played in the Festival. He collaborated and co-wrote 100 Years in Waiting with pioneering playwright and theatre director Kuo Pao Kun, and Revelations with theatre veteran Haresh Sharma, for the 2001 and 2003 editions of the Festival, which was then known as the Singapore Arts Festival.
