About plastermagazine.com

In 1992, Tracey Emin decided to abandon her art career. After destroying her paintings and vacating her studio, she launched a letter subscription service. It was then, as a writer, that Emin’s name started to circulate within the industry. She invited 80 art critics and dealers to pay £10 a month, and in return they would receive three letters. Each contained fragments of thoughts on her everyday life, childhood, sex, love, trauma, and of course, art. It was, in a way, an early form of microblogging.
