تشكل المراقبة الاقتصادية أحد الأنشطة الرئيسية للمعهد، حيث بدأ المعهد بإصدار نشرات دورية منذ العام 1997. يهدف هذا البرنامج الى متابعة ورصد تطورات الأداء الاقتصادي والاجتماعي الفلسطيني وبيان أسبابها واتجاهاتها الرئيسية، وذلك لتعزيز الوعي المجتمعي، والتنبيه المبكر إلى أهم التحديات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
