The Geological Field Trips and Maps (GFT&M) is the online international journal on field geology edited by the Italian Geological Society and the Geological Survey of Italy - ISPRA. It publishes high-quality original geological and thematic maps with short notes, and geological guides relating to field excursions mainly offered during scientific conferences and workshops. Its aim is to promote field geology by making field geological data available to the widest international audience. The journal was launched in 2009 to describe geological itineraries that often remain known only to participants of specific scientific events.
