Créée en 1967, reconnue d’utilité publique neuf ans plus tard, la Fondation Mérieux œuvre de manière indépendante au service de la santé publique. Ayant toujours priorisé une approche en santé humaine et animale, elle contribue aux efforts de la communauté internationale pour atteindre les Objectifs de développement durables des Nations unies dans une approche « One Health » (Une seule santé).
