About filcanscw.ca
The Filipino Canadian Social Workers, Social Service Workers, and Community Workers Network (shorthand: Filipino Canadian Social and Community Worker Network; FCSCWN) was established in 2017 coinciding with the annual conference for the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE-ACFTS) in Toronto, Ontario. We are a grassroots, voluntary group and professional network of Filipino/a/x-Canadian within social services, loosely organized across various cities, with the strongest networks and mobilizations in Toronto and Calgary. We mostly organize through word of mouth, social media, and email. We have organized in-person, online, and hybrid events.
