Fort Drum is the only Army installation with a division that does not have a hospital on post; therefore, it relies on the collaborative work of community hospitals to provide inpatient, urgent, emergency, and select specialty and outpatient services for its Soldiers and their families. FDRHPO was founded in 2005 to bring together those community healthcare providers and Fort Drum medical leaders to ensure Soldiers and their families have access to high-quality healthcare in the North Country.
