About favoritepoem.org
The Favorite Poem Project was Robert Pinsky’s response to a tradition. Since 1985, U.S. Poet Laureates were encouraged to have a project: something poetry-focused that was national in scale. With the help of Maggie Dietz, who became the project’s founding director, Pinsky as Laureate devised a now long-standing undertaking: the Favorite Poem Project.
