About eastcountysharedministry.org
Our church history goes back to 1882 when a Congregational church was founded near what is now Pittsburg. This church purchased the old Camp Stoneman military chapel in 1962. The Pittsburg Community Church later merged with the First Presbyterian church in 1971 and became Community Presbyterian Church (CPC), which is both Presbyterian and UCC. In 2010, the First Congregational Church of Antioch (FCCA), also a UCC church, joined with us, and we called the combination East County Shared Ministry (ECSM). Although FCCA ended as a separate entity, our church remains a combination of Presbyterian and UCC.
