About bancroftelementary.org

Bancroft students in first grade through fifth grade spend two-thirds of their time receiving content instruction in Spanish. Literacy is taught in both Spanish and English and Math is taught only in Spanish. Students in Kinder spend 50% of their time receiving content instruction in both languages. Our early childhood program consists of bilingual classrooms and two Spanish immersion classrooms. Bancroft is one of a few DCPS elementary schools with a school-wide dual language program. Bancroft prides itself in catering to the needs of all its students by providing small group instruction in all content areas.
